Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ShiftAlert ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. ShiftAlert is developed and operated by Luke Downie, based in the United States. By using ShiftAlert, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information Collection

ShiftAlert is built with a privacy-first approach. The App does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on any external server. All information remains on your device.

The App processes the following data locally on your device:

2. Information We Do Not Collect

ShiftAlert does not collect:

ShiftAlert does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking pixels.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

ShiftAlert offers auto-renewing subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit framework. We do not collect, process, or have access to any payment information, including credit card numbers, billing addresses, or Apple ID credentials. All payment processing and subscription management is handled by Apple, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

4. Data Storage and Retention

All App data is stored locally on your device. ShiftAlert does not operate any servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure. Your data exists solely on your device and in any local backups you create through iCloud or iTunes/Finder.

If you delete the App, all associated data is permanently removed from your device. We have no ability to recover deleted data because we never had access to it.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Because all data remains on your device, there is no data for us to share.

6. Children's Privacy

ShiftAlert is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address the concern.

7. Security

Because ShiftAlert stores all data locally and does not transmit data to external servers, your information benefits from the security protections built into your device and iOS, including device encryption and app sandboxing.

8. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information at all times. You can view, modify, or delete any shift data within the App. You can delete all App data by uninstalling ShiftAlert from your device.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
